Dedicated to operational excellence, the Laboratory and Technical Management Office (LTMO) provides high-quality, professional, and compliant laboratory support for various lab-related teaching, research, and academic activities at the university. Our core responsibilities fall into five key areas:

1. General Laboratory Management

  • Establish and update laboratory management policies, regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory management platforms and databases.
  • Establish laboratory access rules and coordinate approval processes.
  • Submit laboratory data to relevant government authorities and coordinate government inspections.
  • Coordinate laboratory facility planning and development projects.
  • Perform risk assessments for laboratory change management.
  • Assist with laboratory-related budget planning.

 

2. Laboratory-related Teaching and Research Support

  • Provide technical support for laboratory module teaching.
  • Provide laboratory-related technical support for various research activities.
  • Provide laboratory-related support for field trips.
  • Provide laboratory-related technical support for student competitions.
  • Provide laboratory-related technical support for exhibitions, events, and other activities.
  • Provide laboratory-related technical support for various marketing and student recruitment activities.
  • Lead lab tours and provide lab facility introductions.

 

3. Laboratory Equipment Management

  • Maintain laboratory equipment management platforms and facilitate laboratory equipment sharing.
  • Conduct risk assessments for laboratory equipment and identify high-risk equipment.
  • Assist with budget control and procurement for laboratory equipment.
  • Handle inventory management, stock-taking, maintenance, and disposal of laboratory equipment.
  • Organize training on laboratory techniques and equipment operations.
  • Establish standard operation protocols and manage usage records for laboratory equipment.

 

4. Laboratory Consumables, Chemicals, and Other Material Management

  • Assist with budget planning for laboratory consumables, chemicals, and other materials.
  • Procure, receive, and distribute centrally managed chemicals, consumables, and tools.
  • Maintain laboratory management platforms and databases for hazardous chemical management.
  • Establish usage and allocation rules and manage usage records for laboratory consumables, chemicals, and other materials.
  • Handle inventory management, inventory audits, stock-taking, and disposal of centrally managed consumables, chemicals, and other materials.

 

5. Laboratory Safety Management

  • Implement government and university policies and regulations in hazardous management, such as chemicals management, biohazards management, and others.
  • Assist with risk assessments for laboratory equipment, hazardous materials, such as hazardous chemicals, biohazardous, and other hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate laboratory emergency response training and drills.
  • Coordinate laboratory safety training and incident investigations.
