On 22 May, students from the SMO401 International Business course at IBSS visited Synland, a wholly owned subsidiary of CATL, to gain first-hand insights into the development of the new energy industry, intelligent electric vehicle technologies, and evolving industry talent demands.

At the beginning of the visit, Chaoyang Jiang from Synland, guided students through the company’s exhibition hall. Through corporate presentations, technology demonstrations, and business introductions, students learned about company’s development history, global business expansion, and Synland’s strategic position within the new energy industry chain.
As one of CATL’s key innovation subsidiaries, Synland focuses on automotive components, electric control systems, skateboard chassis platforms, and integrated new energy vehicle solutions, with the aim of promoting the deep integration of new energy technologies and intelligent manufacturing.

During the industry-sharing session, company representatives introduced the latest trends in the electric vehicle sector, integrated “battery + electric control + chassis” solutions, and the company’s expanding ecosystem across logistics, intelligent mobility, and overseas markets. Students also engaged in discussions on technological innovation, global market competition, and future career opportunities within the rapidly growing new energy industry.

The company also shared insights into its graduate recruitment and talent development system, including a mentorship-based training model designed to support young professionals as they transition from university to the workplace. Students were encouraged to consider organisations’ long-term training opportunities, career development pathways, and support structures when evaluating future internships and employment options.

The visit provided students with valuable industry exposure and strengthened their understanding of innovation, digital transformation, and career development within the global new energy sector.
